|
The progressive Goulburn Valley town of Kyabram is located in the centre of a rich irrigation districk, 200km north of Melbourne, between Echuca and Shepparton and close to the Murray River. Accessed by the Murray Valley, Midland and Goulburn Valley Highways, it contains modern and complete shopping, commercial and banking facilities providing for a town population of 6,000 and district of 16,000. Kyabram because a borough in 1954 and a town in 1973.

Tongala is nestled in the heart of Victorian dairy country between Echuca and Kyabram.
Agriculture, especially dairying, is the most significant industry in the town's economic structure. Food processing is also a major feature of the town's economic landscape with its major industry being Nestle. Other significatn industries include grain processing, abattoirs and other dairy related businesses.
